Floyd Jackson
Floyd Jackson 1947 - 2007 WATERLOO, ON. - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Floyd Jackson,59, of Waterloo, Ontario on Thursday, January 18th, 2007. Born in Petitcodiac, NB on he was the son of Thelma Jackson and the late Floyd Jackson Sr. In his younger years, Floyd enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He had a passion for cars, antiques and cooking. In recent years he completed his Culinary Diploma with honors. Having lived in Ontario for many years, Floyd returned to New Brunswick in September 2005, spending the fall and winter visiting with his family. Although he cherished the time with his family, he greatly missed his friends and community in Waterloo and had returned there in May 2006. Floyd will be sadly missed by his family and friends, who take comfort in knowing that he is resting in peace. Floyd is survived by his long time best friend and companion, Audrey of Waterloo, Ontario; his loving mother, Thelma of Salisbury, NB; his brothers, Brian (Leona Stead) of Elgin, NB, Dwight (Heather) of Dieppe, NB; sisters, Julia (Erwin Zodrow) of Sydney, NS, Deborah O'Brien (Bill) of Shubenacadie, NS, Sandra Scribner (Justin) of Vauxhall, AB and Synthia Blakney of Taber, AB; and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements are entrusted to Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800). The family will be receiving guests Wednesday, January 24th, 2007 at 1:30pm, followed by a Memorial Service at 3:00 pm in the Chapel with Pastor Lloyd O'Blenes officiating. Interment of his ashes will take place privately at a later date. A reception will be held at the funeral home following the service. In memory of Floyd and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or memorial of donor's choice would be appreciated. www.keirsteads.ca
