Passed peacefully away at the L.A. Miller Centre on Saturday, March 7, 2009 after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family. Betty Rogers in her 82nd year. Predeceased by husband Chesley (1999), parents Kenneth and Jessie Harnum and brothers Mendal and David Harnum. Left to mourn with treasured memories, loving daughters Lana Au (Bing) Ontario, Debbie Bursey (Doug) St. John’s, cherished grandchildren Heather and Keith Au and Ashley and Andrea Bursey, devoted sister Marilyn Green (Ken), St. John’s, sisters-in-law Nita Harnum (Heart’s Delight), Jean Rogers (Marystown) as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Monday, March 9, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday March 10 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral service from St. Augustine’s Anglican Church, Westerland Road on Tuesday, March 10 at 2 p.m. with inurnment to take place at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
