William Gordon Rayworth
William Gordon Rayworth 1917 - 2007 William Gordon Rayworth, 89, of Moncton passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on Saturday, February 17th, 2007. Born in Upper Cape, NB, on February 22nd, 1917, he was the son of the late Hebert and Jeanette (Irvine) Rayworth. He was a man of integrity and strength who worked at many occupations in his lifetime and was respected by all. He retired at 69 as manager of Atlantic Autoware and Bearings Ltd. He attended Humphrey Memorial United Church in Moncton where he sang in the choir for 40 years. Gordon will be forever missed by his beloved wife of 67 years, Elizabeth (Chapman); son, Walter (Shelagh) of Amherst; daughter, Suzanne Jardine (Thomas) of Moncton; grandchildren, Andrew Jardine (Joanne), Scott Jardine (Karla), Christopher Rayworth (Stephanie) and Kathleen Rayworth (Laurie); sisters, Helen Cumming and Leah Connolly; and brother, Lawrence; as well as his beloved great grandchildren, Ben, Abby, William, Duncan, Colin, and Alex; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Jean; and brother, Cedric. Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home with visiting hours on Tuesday, February 20th from 2 to 4pm and Wednesday, February 21st from 7 to 9pm. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 o'clock on Friday, February 23rd at Humphrey Memorial United Church, 95 Massey Avenue. A reception for Gordon's family and friends will follow the service in the church hall. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
