Enia Mae Ann Poulette, 12 of Membertou, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2009, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of Meliza and Jamie Poulette.
She was a member of St. Anthony Daniel parish and St. Anne’s Mission Church. She was a grade 6 student at Membertou Elementary School, a member of Membertou Boys & Girls Club, Monday School, the school choir, dance club and many extra curricular activities. Enia loved to draw and was very involved in the traditional culture of Membertou.
She is survived by her only sister, Kylene; brothers, James, Cayman, Justice, Keaton, all of Membertou; great-grandmother, Mary R. Gould, Membertou; grandmother, Mary Estelle Gould, Membertou; godfather/uncle, Pollie J. Denny Jr. (Ann), Eskasoni; godmother/auntie, Tracey N. Poulette, Sydney; aunts and uncles, John (Bernadette), Michael (Janice), Victor ( Evelyn), all of Whycocomagh, Charlotte (Eugene), April (John), Akela, Ann-Shelby, Oscar (Sandi), Adam (Kim), June (Boyd), all of Membertou, Alice Poulette, Darlene (Foster), both of Eskasoni; and by numerous great aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by grandfathers, Allister ‘Sonny’ Googoo, Whycocomagh, James D. Poulette Sr., Eskasoni, Roland J. Denny Sr., Eskasoni, grandmother, Daisy Ester Jane Denny, Eskasoni, uncles, Charlton J. Francis, Membertou, Milton Gould, Whycocomagh, and by cousins, Terrilynn E. Poulette (who was like a sister to her), Eskasoni, Tanishia Denny, Eskasoni, Hunter Francis, Membertou, great-grandparents, Joseph and Susan Poulette, Eskasoni, Michael and Emily Googoo, Whycocomagh, and Joseph Gould, Membertou.
Visitation for Enia Mae Ann Poulette will take place Thursday, March 12 after 7 p.m. at the family home on 3 Kitpu Cres., Membertou. A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony Daniel Church with Fr. Donald MacGillivary officiating. Burial in Membertou Memorial Gardens.
