David Wallace Murray Tweedie
David Wallace Murray Tweedie 1907-2007 Kouchibouguac, NB - David Wallace Murray Tweedie, husband of the late Corena (Mitton) Tweedie, of Kouchibouguac, NB, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2007, at La Villa Maria, St. Louis, at the age of 100. He was the son of the late William and the late Helen (Potter) Tweedie. Wallace had been a Fisherman until 1956, he then went to the Dept. of Highways as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, having obtained his professional ticket at the age of 60. After retirement, he was a Jack of All Trades, doing mechanical, electrical, and carpentry work for the community. Wallace was a member and Church Elder of St. James United Church in Kouchibouguac. He was Past Master of St. Andrew's Masonic Lodge No. 16 F & AM, and was a former member of the Eastern Star. He is survived by one daughter, Susan House (late John) and her partner Ed Cretzman of Lively, ON; three sons, David (Kathleen), Hampton, NB, Murray (Diane Hicks), Kouchibouguac, and Stephan (Gayle) of Moncton. Also by his sister, Inez Jenkins (late Elmer), Napan; ten grandchildren, Krista, Heather T., Pam, Heather L., Robbie, David, Jennifer, Jonathan, Catherine, Connie, Christian, and Breannah; ten great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Wallace was predeceased by a granddaughter, Ferris; eight sisters, Lillian, Josepha, Hazel, Christina, Louise, Dorothy, Aneta, Eleanor (Blanche); and one brother, John (Ethel). Resting at St. James United Church, with visitation on Monday, April 23rd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held at St. James United Church, Kouchibouguac, on Tuesday, April 24th, 2007, at 2 pm, Rev. Beth Johnston officiating. Interment at the church cemetery at a later date. A Masonic Service will be held Monday evening at 7 pm. If so desired, donations to St. James United Church or Cemetery Fund would be appreciated by the family.
