Sophie Allain 1915 - 2007 BOUCTOUCHE, NB - Sophie Allain, age 91, of Manoir St-Jean Baptiste, Bouctouche and formerly of Bouctouche Cove, passed away after a lengthy illness on July 2nd, 2007 at the Manoir St-Jean Baptiste. Married to the late Emile Allain (1990), she was born in Bouctouche on August 1st, 1915 to the late Ambroise and the late Justine (Née LeBlanc) Girouard. Before her retirement, Sophie worked for several years at a seafood processing plant, and at the Manoir St-Jean Baptiste in the housekeeping department. Sophie is survived by three daughters, Antoinette Désprés (Raoul) of Cocagne, Yvette Cormier (Willie) of Bouctouche, Aurella Caissie (Ronnie) of Sainte-Marie de Kent; four sons, Laurie (Gertrude) of St-Nicolas, Qué., Adelard (Mary) of Newton, Mass., Tilmon (Marie-Paul), Paul-Emile (Maria) both of Bouctouche; two sisters, Bertha Allain, Jeanne LeBlanc (Adrien) both of Moncton; one brother, Auguste (Marie) of Moncton; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; and several nephews and nieces. Sophie was predeceased by two daughters, Pauline, Gisèle; three sons, Joseph, Zoel, Clarence; two grandchildren, Paul-Emile (1988), Nicole (1997); three sisters, Germaine, Bernice, Aline; and three brothers, Alyre, Edmond, and Johnny. Visitation will be held at the Maillet Funeral Home Ltd., 29 Rue de l'Église, Bouctouche on Monday July 2nd from 7 to 9, and Tuesday July 3rd from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday July 3rd, 2007 at 7:00 pm at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church Bouctouche. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
