Joseph Cormier ST. PHILIPPE, NB - Joseph "Joe" Cormier, 86, of Veterans Health Centre, Moncton, formerly of St. Philippe, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at the Centre. Born April 16, 1921 in Shediac, he was the son of the late Jacques and Annie (Fougere) Cormier. He was a retired employee from CN, a veteran of W.W. 2, and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Moncton Branch No 6. He is survived by his wife, Myrtle (Wilson) Cormier; six children, Thérèse Gallant (Lionel), Diana Gallant (Edgar), Estelle Caissie (René), Linda Hébert, Annette LeBlanc (Vincent), Cathy Cormier; two sisters, Hélène Caissie (Robert) and Annie Gaudet (late Camille); a daughter-in-law Obéline (late Ronald Cormier); 16 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. He is predecease by his first wife Doris (LeBlanc); son, Ronald; grandson Jason; his brothers and sisters; Jacques, Léo, Albénie, Thérèse Cormier, Laura Gaudet, and Marie Gautreau. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). The funeral mass will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 5, 2007, at St. Philippe Roman Catholic Church, St. Philippe. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visiting hours Wednesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday from 1 p.m. until departure.
