Hortense LeBlanc 1915-2007 SHEDIAC RIVER, NB - Hortense LeBlanc, 93, of Résidence Beau Séjour, Shediac, formerly of Shediac River, died Saturday, July 14 2007 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born in Cap de Cocagne June 21, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Philippe and Elida (Richard) Goguen. For those who were fortunate enough to have known this remarkable woman, they will remember that ready smile and welcoming manner. For some, it will be her zest for life and yet for others, it will be the grace and style she carried as a lady; but most of all, she will be missed as a caring, loving mother to all. She is survived by her four children, Muriel Legere (Cyril) of Bedford, N.S., Roger Mills (Eileen) of Vancouver, B.C., Sally Pettigrew (Robert) of Shediac, and Beverly Arsenault (Robert) of Shediac River. Two other young children who were raised with equal love along with her own; these being her sister, Theresa Nowe (Edward) of Halifax, N.S. and her nephew, Aldie Mills (Adele) of Souris, P.E.I. Also her brother, Adelard Goguen (Irene) of Cocagne; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her 1st husband, Stanley Mills; her 2nd husband, Camille LeBlanc; two sisters, Elizabeth and Geneva; two brothers, Gerard and Aurel; an infant son, Paul; and an infant grandson, Ricky. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297). The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at La Visitation Roman Catholic Church, Grande-Digue. Interment in the parish cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, from 9:30 until departure time. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
