Maria Gallant 1927 - 2007 SHEDIAC, NB - Miss. Maria Gallant, 80, of Sackville Street, Shediac, passed away Saturday, July 28th, 2007 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born May 28th, 1927 in Shediac, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Éleonore (Goguen) Gallant. She was a retired employee with Eaton's. Maria will be greatly missed by her brothers and sisters, Lucille Chisholm of Lunnenburg, N.S., Thérèse Poley of Prince George, B.C., Angela Corbett (Terry) of Halifax, N.S., Paul (Blanche) of Riverview, Roger (Rolande) of Dieppe, Raoul (Ghislaine) of Boudreau Ouest, Léonce (Léa) of Moncton, Roméo (Patricia) of Lasalle, ON, Louis of Shediac; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by three sisters, Andréa, Germaine, Laure; and a brother, Camille. No visiting hours by request. The funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 31st, 2007, at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Shediac. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. At the request of the family, memorial donations to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation (Cardiology) would be appreciated.
