Francis J. LeBlanc 1920 - 2007 Peacefully at the Villa du Repos in Moncton, on Sunday July 29th, 2007, passed away Francis Joseph LeBlanc, 86, of Moncton. Born October 26, 1920 in Saint-Paul-de-Kent, he was the son of the late Joseph (Jos) and Marie-Louise (Richard) LeBlanc. He was a woodsman and carmen with CN. During his retirement, he loved to spend time in nature - particularly picking blueberries and cranberries. He is survived by his wife, Edmée (née Cormier), with whom he was married for 56 years; their five children, Monique (Ronald Collette) of Moncton, Jean-Guy (Pauline Jones) of Fredericton, Charlotte (Donald Watts) of Montréal, Richard (Barbara Schofield) of Phoenix, Arizona, and Pierrette (Jacques Gagnon) of Ottawa; 11 grandchildren, Brigitte Collette (Michel Pelletier), Rachel LeBlanc (John Weatherhead), Mark LeBlanc, Jessica and Kelsey Watts, Natasha, Sébastien (Michelle), Gidget and Chelsea LeBlanc, Christian and Daniel Gagnon; three great-granddaughters, Camille Pelletier, Hailey and Haven LeBlanc; his brothers and sisters, Maria (late Lewis LeBlanc) of Bouctouche, Alfred (Maria Cormier) of Dieppe, Thérèse (Dismas Poirier) of Waltham, MA, Yvonne (late Gérald Johnson), Jeannine (Livain Daigle) and Léo-Paul (Antoinette Collette) all of Gardner, MA; a brother-in-law, Clarence Gautreau (late Dorilla) of Moncton; a sister-in-law, Claudette LeBlanc (late Oscar) of Gardner; many nieces and nephews. He is also predeceased by brothers and sisters, Émerie, Oscar, Rhéal, Dorilla, Florence, and Mai. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). The funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 2, 2007, at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Roman Catholic Church, Murphy Avenue in Moncton. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. Visiting hours Wednesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of departure (10:15).
