Edouard "Eddy" Poirier 1923 - 2007 SAINT-PAUL, NB - Edouard "Eddy" Poirier, age 84, of Saint-Paul, passed away after a lengthy illness on Monday, July 30th, 2007 at the Moncton City Hospital. Born in Sainte-Marie de Kent on July 11th, 1923, he was the son of the late Jacques "Jim" and the late Marie-Rose (Née Roy) Poirier. Eddy was a lumberman and belonged to the Saint-Paul Roman Catholic Church. He is survived by one sister, Geneva Boucher of Saint-Paul; and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by four sisters, Henriette, Régina, Imelda, Marie; and six brothers, Francois, Ernest, Alfred, Joseph, Albert, George. Visitation will be held at the Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Sainte-Marie de Kent on Thursday August 2nd, 2007 from 7 to 9 and Friday, August 3rd from 9 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 3rd, at the Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Church, Sainte-Marie de Kent. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In Edouard's memory donations can be made to the Friends of the Moncton City Hospital Oncology Department.
