Muriel Lawson

Muriel Lawson 1915 - 2007 Muriel Florence Lawson, 92, of Bass River, NB, passed away peacefully at her residence, Lakeview Manor, Riverview, NB on August 11, 2007. Born February 20, 1915 in Newton, Kings County, NB, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Jennic (Round) Makepeace. A former school teacher, she taught in several areas of the province, previous to joining her husband in retail business in Bass River. She was an active member of St. Mark's Presbyterian Church and served as secretary of the Ladies' Aid Society for many years. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Johnston (late Donald) Calgary, Barbara McWilliam (Kenneth) Riverview; one son, George (Pamela), South Surrey, BC; one brother, Raymond Makepeace (Eleanor), Burlington, ON; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband, Jonathan, September 2005; two sisters, Doris Fox and Ferne Jones; three brothers, Ronald, Arthur, and Jack Makepeace. Resting at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation of on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at Thompson's Funeral Home Chapel, Richibucto on Wednesday, August 15th, 2007 at 2:00pm. Interment in St. Mark's Presbyterian Cemetery, Bass River.
