Norma Basque (Poirier) NEW GLASGOW, NS - Norma, aged 60 of New Glasgow, NS, died Friday, July 20th, 2007 in the Aberdeen Hospital, Palliative Care. Born in Dieppe, NB, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Exelda (Robichaud) Poirier. Originally from Dieppe, NB, Norma resided in New Glasgow, NS, since 1970 where she graduated from the Community College in the Mature Student Program before accepting a position with Fred C. Morrison in New Glasgow where she worked for many years until 1995. She is survived by her husband, Allie of New Glasgow; a daughter, Nadine Basque of New Glasgow; granddaughters, Danielle Mason and Céline Mason of New Glasgow; sisters, Pauline (Frank) DeCarlo of Bobcaygeon, ON, Simone Poirier of Calgary, AB; a brother, Gerald (Jeannine) Poirier of Moncton, NB; numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces. Funeral services were held at the H. W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow with Father Charles Cameron officiating, on Monday, July 23rd, 2007.
