She became Port Elgin's first librarian when the Port Elgin Public Library was inaugurated and served the people of Port Elgin as the Village Clerk for several years. Her remains have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, 3 West Main St, Port Elgin (538-2241). Visitation will take place at the Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
