Clarence E. Flewelling

Clarence E. Flewelling 1920 - 2007 Clarence E. Flewelling of Moncton, husband of the late Ruby Flewelling (Richardson), passed away at Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on Sunday, August 26th, 2007 at the age of 87 years. Born in Sangudo, Alberta, he was the son of the late Ernest H. and Amy C. (Cole) Flewelling. Clarence was a veteran of the Second World War, serving with the New Brunswick Rangers and The Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa. Serving in Canada, United Kingdom and he was part of the Liberation of Holland. He would return to Holland as a veteran many times after the war. Member of the Royal Canadian Branch # 6, Moncton and member of the Riverview Veterans Association, member of the Golden Age Bowling League. He retired from Canadian National Railway as a carman after a 40-year career. A member Wesley Memorial United Church. Clarence loved to share stories of his railway days and his time overseas. He is survived by his only son, Charles (Susan) of Moncton; two grandchildren, Drew (Jill) Flewelling & Charlotte Flewelling all of Moncton; a special friend, Anna St. Laurent of Moncton. Besides his parents, Clarence was predeceased by his wife, Ruby in 1997. A legion service will be held from Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, August 31st, 2007 at 1:45 p.m. followed by the Funeral Service at 2 p.m. with Rev. Jim MacDonald officiating with burial to follow at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. The family would appreciate donations to the Kidney Foundation or to a charity of the donor's choice.
