E. Garnett Soucoup
E. Garnett Soucoup 1935 - 2007 Garnett Soucoup, husband of Pauline of Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, September 6th 2007, following a lengthy illness. Born in Moncton, February 14th 1935, he was the son of the late Daniel and Emily (Powers) Soucoup. Garnet was a veteran of the Korean War, having served as a Gunner with the RCHA. Garnet retired from Pepsi Cola (Maritime Beverages), Moncton, following 30 years of service. He was a member of the Air Force Veterans Club, The Sgt. Mess, CFB Moncton, and Country Meadows Golf Club. An avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed his summers fishing salmon on the Miramichi as well as duck and deer hunting in Albert Co. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Pauline Soucoup; daughter, Sandra; and son-in-law, Dale Vautour of Moncton; granddaughter, Candice Wade (Joshua) of Portland, Oregon; brothers, Jim and Willard Soucoup; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Sharon Ann; son, Michael Daniel both in infancy; and brothers, Ernest and Herman. Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home, with visitation on Sunday, September 9th from 7 to 9 pm and Monday, September 10th from 1 to 2 pm. The Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, September 10th 2007, from the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Way presiding. A reception for Garnett's friends and family will follow the service in the Garden View Reception room. Interment in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. The family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, the SPCA or to a memorial of the donor's choice.
