Alice Melanson BATHURST, NB - Mrs. Alice Melanson, 90, wife of the late Yvon Melanson, of Chamberlain Settlement, NB, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in St. Anselme, NB, she was the daughter of the late Bélonie and Dométhilde (LeBlanc) LeBlanc. She is survived by her four children, Alonzo (Glenda) of Moncton, Rose May Haché (Alphonse) of Chamberlain Settlement, Jean Guy (Jean-Paul Dugas) of Bathurst, Vital (Jacqueline) of Beresford; six grandchildren, Michelle, Yves, Claude, Denis, Mathieu, Caroline; three great-grandchildren, Alex, Denis and Eric; several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband, Yvon in 1999; two sisters; Amanda and Sylvie; three brothers, Anastase, Marc and Gilbert. Visitation will be from Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst (www.elhatton.com), on Thursday evening only from 7 to 9 pm. She will then be transferred to Frenette's Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (www.frenettefuneralhome.com), with visitation on Friday from 7 to 9 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am until time of Funeral. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at 11:00 am from St. Anselme Church, Dieppe. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
