Amy loved her wonderful life which was focused on family, friends and flowers. Once she established a friendship, it lasted forever. A true woman of Newfoundland, she just loved hard work and was able to do anything from raising her seven children to picking berries, drying caplin or running a very successful business. When she got dressed up, she was a gorgeous lady. One of her main goals in raising her family was to ensure they received a great education. Later in life she loved to spend her winters surrounded by friends from across Newfoundland, in sunny Florida, where she loved a competitive game of cards, travel and a cultivation of more friends. All those who knew her well, use a single word to describe her “sweet.”
She is now resting at peace and will be sadly missed by all. Funeral service will be at the Anglican Church, Plum Point on Friday, March 13th. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Flowers through Shoreline Flowers in Sandy Cove, telephone
1-888-456-2859.
