Paul Evans Barrett 1957-2007 It is with great love and sadness, the family announce the passing of Paul Evans Barrett on 25 October 2007. Paul will be dearly missed by his wife, Mary Ann Linda (McDermaid) Barrett. Paul married his high school sweetheart on the 25 August 1978. They were best friends. They were soul mates. They were always together. Paul always had a smile, which would show in his eyes, and a great sense of humour. He could make Linda laugh no matter what. He was a real gentleman who would help anyone who needed it. He was such a hard worker. Paul loved working on genealogy, puzzles and working with wood in his workshop. He absolutely loved listening to music and he was a true New England Patriots and Toronto Maple Leaf fan. Paul was born in Dhar, India. He will be sadly missed by his father and mother, Rev. George and Geraldine Barrett; brother, Gene (Susan); sister, Ruth (Paul); brother, Kevin (Cathy); father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rex and Simonne McDermaid; brothers-in-law, Michael (Tina), Patrick (Laura), Steven (Kelly), Allan (Nicole); and sister-in-law, Carol (Matt). He will also be sadly missed by a number of nieces and nephews, Brynle, Tessa, Mark, Kevin, Jennifer, Kellen, Marta, Danielle, Andrew, Lauren, Ryan, Michelle, Marc Andre, Misty, Kyle, Katie, Steven and Matthew. Paul was predeceased by his grandparents, John and Jessie Barrett, Isaac and Lena Fowler, James Rexford and Hilda McDermaid; as well as beloved pets, Sandy and Fritz. He will be sadly missed, forever loved and in our hearts always. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home (458-9170) on Monday, October 29th, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, October 30th, 2007 at 11:00 am. Rev. Monte Peters officiating. Interment will take place in the Young's Cove United Church Cemetery. No flowers by request.
