Reginald (Reg) A. Trites Reginald (Reg) A. Trites, 85, of The Veterans Health Center, Moncton with his family at his side passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, November 2, 2007 following a lengthy illness. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Lester and Gertrude (Dodd) Trites. Reg was retired from The Moncton Police Department (1986) with 36 years service. A Veteran of the Second World War, served overseas in Britain, France and Germany with the West Nova Scotia Regiment and was a life member of the Air Force Veterans Club and the 31 Club. Reg will be sadly missed by his wife of over 53 years, Irma (Jones) Trites; daughters, Tammy, Moncton, Cindy Hebert (Roger), Irishtown, Karen Byrne (Tom), Petitcodiac; sons, Danny (Joan), Grangeville, Stephen, at home, Keith (Joan), Steeves Mountain, David (Donna), Saint John; 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sister, Jean Stone (George), Dieppe; brothers, Carl, Ammon, Donald (Short) (Phyllis), Riverview; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Vera (Dennis) (1952); brother, Ronald; sisters, Geraldine, Phyllis and Joan. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Rd., Moncton (858-1995), Sunday, 2 to 5 pm. Moncton Legion # 6 Memorial Service, Sunday, 4 pm. Funeral service at Grangeville Baptist Church, Monday, November 5, 2007, 2 pm, Mr. Paul Leger officiating. Reception following the service. Interment, Church Cemetery.
