Alphonse Richard 1926-2007 Alphonse Richard, 81, of the Villa Providence, Shediac and formerly of Cap-Pelé passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Regional Hospital, Moncton on Sunday, November 4th, 2007 following a lengthy illness. Born in Saint-Louis-de-Kent, September 23rd, 1926, he was the son of the late Basile and Joséphine (Richard) Richard. Alphonse moved to Ontario to seek employment where he met Cecile, his wife of 44 years. They returned to New Brunswick in 1975. He retired from Lockwood in 1990. He was a former member of the Cap-Pelé and Shediac Golden Age Clubs. He enjoyed music and playing the violin. He will be sadly missed by his loving family, wife of 44 years, Cécile (Duguay); daughter Mona Belliveau (Roland) of Grand-Barachois; son Donald Richard (Lisa) of Dieppe, two sisters: Irène Babineau (late Antoine) and Thérèse Babineau (late Joseph) both of Acadieville; two brothers: Raymond Richard (Aline) of Saint-Charles, Brother Gérard Richard of Sherbrooke, QC; and three grandchildren: Marissa, Miguel and Jérémie. He was predeceased by his brother Archbishop Arsène Richard and by four infant brothers and sisters. Visitation at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 pm. and 7 to 9 pm. and Thursday from 3 pm. until time of departure 3:50 pm. Funeral mass will be held at 4 pm. on Thursday, November 8th, 2007 at Saint-Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac. Interment will be in Ste. Thérèse d'Avila Roman Catholic Cemetery, Cap-Pelé.
