Roy Jensen 1915-2007 Roy S.K Jensen passed away peacefully in QEII Health Sciences Centre on Thursday, October 25, 2007, at age 91. Born in Belleoram, Nfld, he was the youngest son of Stanley and Agnes ( Rose) Jensen. He is survived by his sons, Lyndon ( Barbara), New Minas; Ron (Shirley), Riverview, N.B., five grand-children and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Marion (Milley) Jensen; brothers Abraham and Allan; sisters, Dorothy "Doll", Agnes, Olive and Queena. He is also survived by his life companion, Roma Aiken, Halifax. A graduate of Memorial Dalhousie and Saint Mary's universities, Roy was a well-known teacher and principal of various schools in the Halifax area. He was an active member of St. Matthias Church, both as a warden and a member of the anglican synod. Known by his family and friends as an avid gardener, carpenter, musician and storyteller, Roy will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation was held Monday, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm, in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St., Halifax. Funeral service was held Tuesday, at 11 am at Saint Matthias Anglican Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
