Catherine (Katie) Mary Ryan The death of Mrs. Catherine (Katie) Mary Ryan, widow of Martin (Matt) Ryan, formerly of Chatham Head, NB, occurred on Friday, November 16, 2007 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 89 following a brief illness. Born in Tracadie, NB, she was the daughter of the late Frank B. and Justine (Comeau) Losier. Catherine is survived by three daughters, Judy (Keith) Carroll, of Miramichi, NB; Betsy (Bill) Gunn of St. Catherines, ON; Anita Ryan of Victoria, BC; four sons, Vince (Barb) Ryan of Moncton, NB, Clary (Jan) Ryan, Dave (Jan) Ryan of St. Catherines, ON, Marty (Donna) Ryan of Petawawa, ON; 20 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; three sisters, Regina Smith of Toronto, ON, Betty Anne Overend of Niagara Falls, ON, Anita Whelan of St. Catherines, ON; three brothers, Vince Losier of Saint John, NB, William Losier, Ronald (Diane) Losier of St. Catherines, ON; two sisters-in-laws, Yvette Losier of St. Catherines, ON, Eileen Losier of Winnipeg, MN; and one brother- in -law, Jack Simpson of Lacombe, AB. Besides her husband and parents, Catherine is predeceased by infant son, Francis; twin sister, Amelia; sisters, Yvonne, Cecilia and Irene; and brothers, Arthur, Johnny and Eugene. The family will receive visitors at Bell's Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi, NB, today from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Chatham Head, NB, on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at 11 AM with Father Bob McGuire officiating. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church Cemetery. In Catherine's memory donations may be made to the CNIB or to a memorial of one's choice.
