Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Sunday, March 8, 2009, Agnes (Ryan) Kelsey (retired teacher), in the presence of her daughter. Last surviving child of James and Philomena (Baker) Ryan. Predeceased by her brothers Francis, Bernard, John and Tom, her sister Philomena and her special cousin Sr. M. Pauline Foster, RSM. Leaving to mourn her daughter Maria (St. John’s), her son L. James (Jennifer) and grandson Fferyll Alexis (Southhampton, England), nieces and nephews in St. John’s, Niagara Falls, Ontario and her special friends Fr. Charles P. Holland, S.J. and Carmel Bridge and Albert Thorne. A loving mother, devoted teacher and a loyal friend. A strong woman who was always true to herself, gifted with a strong faith, ready wit and lively sense of humour. She will be missed by all who were privileged to know and love her. Remains resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Wednesday and Thursday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Friday, March 13 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Pius X Church. Interment to follow at Belvedere Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to St. Bonaventure’s College Bursary Fund in memory of her four brothers.
