Edwin Maxwell Travis The death of Edwin Maxwell Travis husband of Eleanor (Hare) Travis of Whitney, NB occurred at the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at the age of 78. Born in Matthew Settlement, NB, Edwin was the son of the late Wilbur and Nellie (Matthews) Travis. Edwin was a member of the Boom Road Pentecostal Church, Boom Road, NB and was retired from Heath Steele Mines. Edwin is survived by one daughter, Cathy Carr (Kevin) of South Shore, NS; one son, Robert at home; one brother, Robert (Lois) of Dundas, ON; two sisters, Jacqueline Cudmore (Clayton) of Moncton, NB and Linda Allison (Hubert) of Whitby, ON; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Meadows Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from the Boom Road Pentecostal Church, Boom Road, NB on Monday, January 21, 2008 at 2 pm with Pastor Fred Williams officiating. Burial will take place in the Boom Road Pentecostal Church Cemetery later in the spring. In Edwin's memory a memorial may be made to the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home or the Boom Road Pentecostal Church Building Fund.
