Francis (Edgar) Bourgeois 1939 - 2008 GRAND-DIGUE, NB - Francis Bourgeois of Grand-Digue passed away peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit at the Moncton Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, February 5, 2008. Francis was born in Moncton on May 29, 1939 to the late Alfred Bourgeois and the late Annette Gallant. He was a retired bricklayer by trade. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. The pride and joy of his life was his only granddaughter, Melanie. He played hockey with the St-Antoine Antiques and the Waltham French Club. He was also an avid Montreal Canadians, Red Sox's and Patriots fan. He followed the Wild Cats and Beaver's hockey games with his friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Francis is survived by his wife, Germaine Arsenault; daughter, Sharlene Cormier (Daniel), Lakeville NB; sister, Alfreda Woytowicz (Marvin), Ottawa; brother, Roger Bourgeois (Yvette), Grand-Digue; grandchild, Melanie. He was predeceased by infant sister, Florence; and one brother, Jean Maurice. Resting at Coopérative Funéraire Passage Funeral Co-operative, Shediac Bridge with visitation on Friday, February 8, 2008 from 7 - 9pm. There will be no visiting time on Saturday. Funeral service will held at La Visitation Roman Catholic Church, Grand-Digue on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 11am. Interment will be held in the Parish Cemetery at a later date in the spring. If so desired, a memorial donation to Friends of the Moncton Hospital, the Canadian Cancer Society or donors choice would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks are extended to the Extra Mural nurses Shediac branch and to the Oncology dept. of The Moncton Hospital for their special care.
