Albina Leger
Albina Leger 1920 - 2008 Albina Leger, 87, of Dieppe, NB, with her loving family by her side, passed away on Saturday, February 16th, 2008, at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital. Born in Scoudouc, NB, she was the daughter of the late Alyre and the late Agnes (née: Babin) Melanson. The joy of her life was her family, Albina and Gerard spent their retirement years at the summer cottage in Notre-Dame, where she would enjoy nature. She was a member of the Club d'Age d'Or de Dieppe and a parishoner of Ste-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church. She is survived by two daughters, Charline (David) Surette of Burlington, ON, and Suzanne Boudreau (Royden) of Moncton; three sons, Alonzo (Alicia) of Riverview, Michel of Notre-Dame and Gilles of Dieppe; one daughter in law, Viola Bell; one brother, Antoine Melanson of Moncton; eight grandchildren, Joline, Mireille, Julie, Daniel, Marc, Angela, Scott, and Lisa; four great grandchildren, Maya, Alexandre, Breanna, and Nathan; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her step-mother, Melina; her husband, Gerard in 1999; one sister, Lorette; and also by three brothers, Alphonse, Edgar, and Clement. Visitation will be held from Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Tuesday from 10 am until the time of the service. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, on Tuesday, February 19th, 2008 at 11 am. Interment in Notre-Dame du Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB. Donations to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Dr. G.-L.
