Alfreda Gloria (Bastarache) Hansen 1951 - 2008 SAINT JOHN, NB - Alfreda Gloria (Bastarache) Hansen returned to the Lord on February 19th, 2008, after a long struggle with cancer at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John in 1951, she was the daughter of Alfred and Noella (Bastarache) Doucet. Alfreda graduated from Saint John Vocational School in 1968 and NBCC in 2006. She was a hairdresser for 30 years, worked in home care and most recently as a teacher's assistant. Alfreda was a member of St. Rose Church and St. Peter's Prayer Group. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Hansen; step children, Daniel (Emilie) and Sara; mother, Noella Doucet, special Dad, John Doucet; sisters, Patsy Guerrette (Rheal), Anne McHugh (Peter); nieces, Tanya Guerrette (Corey Blanchard) and Tahnee Graham; nephews, Michael Guerrette and Kyle Graham; step-sisters, Louise Melloy (Graham) and Michele Gardiner (Don); as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Alfred and brother Michael. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Rose de Lima Church on Thursday February 21st, 2008 at 10 am.
