Mr. S. Bertram (Bert) Mills 1921 - 2008 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mr. Samuel Bertram (Bert) Mills, husband of Rita H. Mills, of the Veterans Wing of the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home, and formerly of the South Napan Road, Napan, passed awaty at his residence, on Tuesday morning, February 26, 2008, at the age of 86. Born in Northwich, England, on June 19, 1921, he was the son of the late Samuel and Gertrude (Oakes) Mills. He was a retired employee of Flett Motors Ltd., Miramichi, employed as an motor vehicle mechanic. He attended St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church, Miramichi and was a member of the Holy Name Society. He was a Veteran of the Second World War, serving in Canada with the R.C.A.F. He is survived by his wife, the former Rita H. Buggie, of the South Napan Road; two daughters, Mary Grant (Francis) and Anne King (Wayne), all of the South Napan Road; four sons, Robert Mills (Noreen), of Napan, Ernest Mills (Brenda), of Strathadam, William Mills (Gloria), of Napan, Van Mills (Cathy), of Glenwood; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son, James Mills; one brother, Ernest Mills. Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, on Thursday only, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church, on Friday, February 29, 2008, at 11 am, conducted by Father Claude Daigle. Interment will be in the church cemetery, later in the spring.
