Elmina Maillet
Elmina Maillet 1911 - 2008 Elmina Maillet, age 96, of Saint- Antoine, wife of the late Eddie Maillet (1987) passed away on Monday, March 24th, 2008 after a lengthy illness at the Dr Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton. Born in Saint-Norbert on May 18th, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Johnny and the late Léonice (Née Boucher) Babineau. Elmina worked for several years in a manufacture in Fitchburg, MA. She was a member of the Saint-Antoine Golden Age Club, and attended the Saint-Antoine l'Ermite Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Antoine. Elmina is survived by ten daughters; Loretta Allain (Laurie), Rézeda Maillet (Late Elias) both of Saint-Antoine, Louise Gautreau (Late Gerald), Marguerite LeBlanc both of Dieppe, Simonne Maillet of Richiboucto, Jeannita Boucher (Léo) of Chelmsford, MA, Emilienne Bastarache (Eric) of Gardner, MA, Florence LeBlanc (Roméo) of Orange, MA, Stella Carlson (Albert) of Leominster, MA, Yvette LeBlanc (Raymond) of Pennsylvania, five sons; Octave (Thérèse) of Shédiac, Léandre of La Tuque, Que, Jean (Odette) of Leominster, MA, Alphée (Joanne) of Westminster, MA, Roméo (Paul) of Boynton Beach, FL., five sisters; Emilienne Maillet of Montreal, Georgina Maillet (Emerie) of Bouctouche, Bernice Breau of Waltham, MA, Anita LeBlanc (Laurie), Florence LeBlanc (Eugère) both of Sainte-Marie de Kent, thirty one grandchildren, thirty seven great grand children, one great great grand son, and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by one daughter; Noella, two sons; Alphée, Calixte, five sisters; Marguerite, Ida, Léona, Alice, Marie; three brothers; Théodore, Octave Rudolph, a step-mother, Eleonore Landry. Visitation will be held at the Saint-Antoine l'Ermite church Slumber Room, Saint-Antoine on Thursday March 27th, from 7 to 9 and Friday from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Antoine Church on Friday March 28th, at 7:00 pm. Interment will be in the spring at the Saint-Norbert Cemetery. In Elmina's memory donations can be made to the Dr Georges L Dumont Foundation/Palliative Care, or to the Saint-Norbert Cemetery Fund.
