Oscar Landry Oscar Landry, 93, of Moncton, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at the Dr. G.-L. Dumont Hospital following a sudden illness. Born May 20, 1914 in MacDougall Settlement, he was the son of the late Presley and Herménie (LeBlanc) Landry. He retired in 1977 from CN as a machinist and attended Christ-Roi Roman Catholic Church, Moncton. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Olympe (Allain) Landry; six children: Donald (Géralda), Bernice Nowlan (John), Jeannine Hamilton (Rev. Don), and Albert all of Moncton, Sylvia Walker (Scott) of Sussex, and Rev. Robert (Barbara) of Kingston, ON; three sisters: Cécile Cormier and Rita Soullière both of Moncton, Florine LeBlanc of Dieppe; eight grandchildren: Roger Landry (Carole) of Grande-Digue, Chris Hamilton (Josée) of Saint John, Richard 'Rick' Landry (Suzanne) of Moncton, Michelle Hamilton of Montréal, Greg Hamilton (Laura) of Burnaby, BC, Caroline Landry of Montréal, Natasha Landry of Montréal, and Jessica Walker of Sussex; six great-grandchildren: Thomas Hamilton, Jacinthe, Sébastien, Justin, Serge, and Raymond Landry. He is predeceased by a sister Jeannette; a brother, Raymond, and an infant, Dorice. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours Thursday, from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday, from 9:30 until departure (10:15). The funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 29 at Christ-Roi Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
