John (Jack) Newlands 1931-2008 John (Jack) Newlands, age 76, of Shediac Cape, NB, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital. Born in Greenfield, NB on December 5th, 1931. He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Elizabeth Hodgson. Jack loved the great outdoors. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed reading and was always available as a volunteer for good causes. He is survived by his loving wife, Rita (Leger); two step-daughters, Louise Cormier from Sorel, Qc. and Linda Winsor (Robert) of Shediac Bridge, NB; one sister, Elizabeth Houser (Dick); two brothers, Charles Hodgson (Jeanita) and George Hodgson (Marie) and their families of Moncton, NB. He was very fond of all his nephews, nieces, grand nephews and grand nieces. There will be no visitation. The funeral service will be held from Passage Funeral Coop, 3574 rte 134, Shediac Bridge on Monday April 28th, at 2pm. Memorial donations to the Georges-L. Dumont Oncology Center or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
