86, Glace Bay/Halifax Theresa MacDonald, 86, formerly of 995 Main St., Glace Bay, N.S., passed away at St. Vincent's Guest Home Halifax on Oct. 31, 2008. She had been a resident of the Guest home for the past six years. Theresa was a daughter of the late James MacKinnon and Anne Farrell of Benacadie Glen. She is survived by her children, Donna (Francis) McDonald, Lower Sackville, Maurice (Alvera) MacDonald, Upper Rawdon; her stepdaughter, Margie (the late Dr. Fred) Murdock, Fredericton, N.B. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Bryson, Brandon, Ashley and Evelyn and her step grandchildren, Dr. John, Dr. Eddie, Dr. Carol Anne and Mary Ellen. She is also survived by her sister, Elizabeth Martin, Timmins, Ont.; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Theresa was a member of St. Anne's parish, Glace Bay, as well as a member of the church choir for many years and St. Anne's Sodality. She was also a member of the Cozy Card Club for over 40 years. Theresa was predeceased by her husband, Maurice 'Blue' MacDonald 1982, her parents as well as siblings, Bridget, Catherine, Donald, Archie, Anthony, Bessie, Joe, Michael, Sadie and Clara. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Curry''s Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay, on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service at St. Anne's Church, on Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 10 a.m. with her nephew Fr. Errol MacDonald officiating. The family offers sincere thanks to the staff of St. Vincent's Guest Home for their kindness to Theresa and her family while she was a resident.
