Elsie M. Steeves The death of Elsie (Marr) Steeves, formerly of Petitcodiac, occurred May 6, 2008 at The Brianlea at the age of 83. Elsie was born in Cornhill, NB, a daughter of the late Arthur and Leeta (Dunfield) Marr. She was the wife of the late Roy J. Steeves. Elsie is survived by her brother, Hilliard (Alberta), Lutes Mountain; her sister, Edith (Dana) McCully, Intervale; her sister-in-law, Shirley Marr, Petitcodiac; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Elsie was predeceased by two brothers, Melbourne and Glendon Marr; her sister-in-law, Beulah Marr. She was a member of the Cornhill Baptist Church. Visitation will be held this evening from 7 to 9 pm; the funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1:30 pm with Pastor Jim Hannah officiating, all in Armstrong's Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Hillside Cemetery. Donations to the Hillside Cemetery Fund, the Cornhill Baptist Church Building Fund, or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
