
Sr. Pauline Louise Chiasson

71, New Waterford Sr. Pauline Chiasson, 71, of Plummer Avenue, New Waterford, passed away suddenly Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in New Waterford and a member of Mt. Carmel Church, she was the daughter of the late Joseph P. and Catherine (Boudreau) Chiasson. Sr. Pauline entered the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity, Halifax in 1959. She worked in the dietary department at the Mother House and the Infirmary Hospital, both in Halifax and also at the residential school in Shubenacadie. Sr. Pauline was later employed at Seaview Manor, Glace Bay, as a CNA. Her last area of employment was doing home-care work with City Home Makers, which serves the industrial Cape Breton area. Sr. Pauline will be remembered as a very cheerful person who had a great sense of humour. She was also known as a superb cook. She is survived by two brothers, Johnny, Florida, Thomas, Toronto; two sisters, Janette Lundrigan, Sydney, Yvette (Wilfred) Boudreau, Cheticamp; as well as several nieces and nephews. Sr. Pauline was predeceased by two brothers, James and Wilfred. The visitation and funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, New Waterford. A reception will follow the mass at the Carmel Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Sr. Pauline Chiasson may be made to the N.S. Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of one's choice.
