Alonzo E. Conner 1940 - 2008 Passed away surrounded by his family at the Moncton Hospital on Friday, June 20th, 2008 at the age of 67 Years. Husband of Bernice Conner of Moncton. Born in Alma, NB, he was the son of the late Bordon & Cora (Martin) Conner. Alonzo worked in the soft drink industry for over 50 years, he started with Coca Cola Company when he was 15 years old. Worked there for over 27 years. He went to work for Pepsi Cola, retired in 2005. Alonzo enjoyed his family, he would hunt and fish with his sons. He doted on his five grandsons. They were his pride and joy. He enjoyed bowling and missed his Tuesday and Thursday afternoon leagues with seniors in Riverview. He loved talking with People and made many friends over the years. He could always tell a good story and listen to one in return. Bernice will miss their long walks together while enjoying many beautiful sunsets. They were always together walking hand in hand and his absence will be greatly felt. Besides his wife, Alonzo is survived by his two sons, Michael (Kimberley) of Shediac Cape, Rodney (Darlene) of Petitcodiac; his sister, Elsie Colpitts (Willie Sampson) of Saint-John; his two brothers, Ensley of Moncton and Alma (Joie) of Moncton; five Kyle, Timothy, Brandon, Christopher and Tyler; and by several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will held from Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, June 23rd, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Rick Thomas officiating. Burial to follow at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. In Lieu of Flowers donations to The Friends of the Moncton Hospital Palliative Care Unit or to the Extra Mural - Driscoll Unit would be appreciated by the family.
