90, New Waterford Georgina MacDonald passed away peacefully at the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital on Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, in her 90th year. Born in Inverness, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Matilda (Gillis) Getto. She was a member of the Parish of St. Leonard, St. Agnes Church, New Waterford. She is survived by her six sons, Donnie (Nettie), Broad Cove, Gregory, Sydney, Wendell (Geri), Dwight (Jane), Zachary (Debbie), John (Pam), all in Massachucetts; one daughter, Mugsy (Chuck) Schima, Massachusetts; grandchildren, Kevin, Darryl, Heather, Hermine, Mandy, Daniel, Anna Rose, Michael, Natalie; great-grandchildren, Lily, Paige, Liam, Rhiannon and Jeremy. She is also survived by sisters, Matilda Blouin, Waterville, Sarah Wellner, Fredericton, Hermine Getto and Sylvia Medjuck, both of New Waterford; brother, Carl (Agatha), New Waterford; numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Donald, sisters, Margaret Thurbide, Rose Habicht, Leonie Hadley and Catherine Marchesin. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith St., New Waterford.
