Sheila Surette 1931 - 2008 Unable are the loved to die, for love is immortality. Emily Dickinson Sheila Surette (née McAllister), 76, passed away peacefully at the Georges Dumont Hospital on Monday morning, June 30th, with her family at her side. Born in Moncton , NB, Sheila had been a Shediac resident since 1955. She was an active member of many community organizations throughout her life, including the Shediac Cape Silver Sands Seniors. She had a passion (and a gift) for arts and crafts and was known for her baking. She enjoyed golfing, curling, traveling and bridge nights with the ladies. She will be lovingly remembered by husband Adrian, daughter Susan, and granddaughters Jennifer (Tyler MacKay) and Kristen Houle (Justin Lavoie). Sheila was predeceased by her parents Harold and Kathleen (Brown) McAllister, brothers Carl (Myrtle) and Edward (Marg). She is survived, and will be dearly missed by her sister Maureen (late Norman) Bourque. She had many friends and will be sorely missed in her community. Visiting will be held at the Passage Funeral Home in Shediac Bridge on Thursday, July 3rd, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held at the Passage chapel on Friday, July 4th at 11am. If so desired donations to the Canadian Institute for the Blind (CNIB), who provided tremendous help to Sheila in her final years or donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
