Anna Melanson 1927 - 2008 Anna Melanson, 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 9th, 2008 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, after a sudden illness. Born in Sackville, NB on July 1st, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Amédée Babineau and the late Marguerite Boudreau both from Barachois. Anna is survived by her husband, Raymond Melanson; five daughters, Rita Kervin (Lindsay) and Seneka Melanson of Moncton, Eva Brun (Norbert) of Shediac, Jeanne Melanson (Gilles Morrissette) of Gatineau, QC, Fernande Cormier (Roger) of Grand-Barachois; four sons, Gérald Melanson (Louise), Edgar Melanson, and Paul Melanson (Cynthia Cleveland) of Grand-Barachois, Donald Melanson (Aline) of Shediac; three sisters, Marie Richard (late Fabien), and Hélène LeBlanc (late Edouard) of Shediac, Rita Martineau (late Maurice) of Quebec; a special friend of the family, Marjolaine Chartrand; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by one daughter, Hélène; one son, Maurice; two sisters, Edna and Adrienne; seven brothers, Léo, Fred Clarence, Hervé, Albert, Camille and Gérard. Resting at Coopérative Funéraire Passage Funeral Co-operative, 3754, Route 134, Shediac Bridge, with visiting hours, Friday, July 11th, from 7 to 9pm. Funeral service to be held at RC Church St-Henri-du-Barachois on Saturday, July 12th at 11am. There will be no viewing on Saturday morning. Interment at the parish cemetery.
