Lois Humes 1927 - 2008 Lois Humes of Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at age 81 years. Born in New Glasgow, NS on March 10, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Leo J. and Zita (Martin) Cormier. She was a member of St. Augustines Roman Catholic Church and a member of the CWL of St. Augustines. She is survived by son, Robert "Bob" Humes (Joan) of St. John's, Newfoundland; grandchildren, Carla Humes (Rod Power) and Dr. Trevor Humes (Petrina) both of Newfoundland; five great-grandchildren; sisters Joyce Mann of Bathurst, NB, Ann Legere of Portland, Maine, Joan Trites (Len) of Ottawa, Ontario; also by several nieces and nephews. Lois was predeceased by her husband, Ronald "Ron" Humes in 1998; and daughter, Sandra Humes in 2005. Visitation will be held at Tuttle Bros. Funeral home on Monday, July 14th, 2008 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 11:30 am with Fr.Yvon Arsenault officiating. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. No flowers by personal request, donations in memory of Lois may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or the memorial of the donor's choice.
