Albert Thomas Shediac
Albert Thomas Shediac 1919 - 2008 The death of Albert Thomas Shediac, 89 years, husband of the late Emma Shediac of Connolly Street, Moncton, occurred at The Moncton Hospital on Monday July 14, 2008. Born in Liverpool, NS, on January 25th 1919, he was the son of the late John and Helen (Sherwood) Shediac. Albert had been employed as a custodian with the Department of Transportation for 28 years, prior to that he was employed with The Canada Steamship Company, and he served in the Army during the Second World War. He had attended Emmanuel Baptist Church, Moncton. An avid outdoorsman he enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved spending time gardening. Albert is survived by his step daughter Judith Dunphy (Paul) of Fredericton; step son Cecil Mitchell (Linda) of Second North River; two sons Albert Shediac Jr. (Sheila) and Kevin Shediac (Valerie) all of Moncton; one sister Mona Tulley of Nova Scotia; six grandchildren Jeffrey and Darlene Mitchell, Aaron Shediac, Tyler Shediac (Tracy), Tiffany Shediac and Craig Shediac; three great grandchildren Dawson Henwood, Dylan Boyle and Emma Shediac, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Emma, who predeceased him in September 2005, and his parents, he was predeceased by an infant daughter Linda Darlene, his sisters Mary, Rose, Ruth, Evelyn and one brother George. Resting at Cadman Bowness Funeral Home (857-1110) 114 Alma Street, Moncton with visiting hours on Wednesday July 16th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, his funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17th at 11am in Cadman Bowness Funeral Home followed by a reception in the reception area of the funeral home. Interment will take place in The Zion Presbyterian Church Cemetery, West Branch, NB. Donations in Albert's memory, made to the Zion Presbyterian Cemetery Fund or the memorial of the donor's choice, would be appreciated by the family.
