Patricia "Evelyn" McLatchy 1921 - 2008 Evelyn McLatchy, 87, of Weldon passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, July 18th, 2008 with her daughter by her side. Evelyn was born in Salem, Albert County, N.B. on June 24, 1921 the daughter of the late Alfred Parker and Edith Mae (Baisley) Parker. Evelyn ran a special care home for years before her retirement. She was very caring and loved taking care of people. She was also a very determined lady and never let her age stop her, having learned to knit at the age of 84. She enjoyed doing crafts and sewing. Evelyn enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. She was a very special lady who will be fondly remembered and never forgotten. She will be missed by her daughters, Diana O'Toole of Fredericton and Marilyn Boyd (Terry) of Weldon; her sons, Floyd Parker of Moncton and Darrell McLatchy of Weldon. She will also be missed by her 14 cherished grandchildren and her several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and by her special niece, Kathy, who really helped out in a time of need. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband William, "Bill" McLatchy; sister, Ruby McNutt; brother, Alfred Parker; half brother, Vaughn Terris; and by two grandsons. She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Sunday evening from 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, July 21, 2008 at 11:00am. Interment will be in the Grey's Island Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, donations to the Red Cross or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
