George William Cushing 1923-2008 Sackville, N.B. - George William Cushing, age 84, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital. Born in Pensac, N.B. on August 5, 1923, he was the son of the late William and Barbara (Boyce) Cushing. Bill will be sadly missed by his son, Scott (Nancy) Cushing of Williams Lake, BC; sister, Edith (David) Wright of Riverview, N.B.; granddaughter, Lisa of Surrey, BC; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Eileen Cushing. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell's Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B.(364-8188). Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation as requested by the family. A memorial service will be held at Campbell's Funeral Home on Sunday, July 27, 2008 at 2 PM with Rev. Patti Blundell officiating. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #26, Sackville will hold a service at 1:45 PM before the memorial service begins. Burial will take place in the Sackville Cemetery. Donations in memory of Bill may be made to the Sackville Memorial Hospital, Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of ones choice.
