Geneva Hannah 1927 - 2008 Geneva Hannah, 80, of Calder St., Shediac passed away on Monday, July 28, 2008 at the Dr. Georges-L-Dumont Hospital, Moncton after a courageous battle with cancer. Born August 14, 1927 in Notre-Dame, she was the daughter of the late Philippe and Alice (Cormier) Poirier. Prior to her retirement, Geneva was employed with the Villa Providence, Shediac. She was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch 33, Shediac and the Club d'âge d'or, Shediac and Shediac Hospice. She is survived by three daughters: Patricia Léger(Dolland) of Dieppe, Bibianne Cook (Douglas) of Shediac Bridge, Gloria Drisdelle (Paul-Yvon Surette) of Moncton; one son Philip Drisdelle of Moncton; a special friend René LeBlanc, four sisters: Aurore Bilodeau of Leominster, Mass., Angenette Mazerolle and Gloria Jessulat both of Shediac, Diana Brown of St-Antoine; one brother Guy Poirier(Gemma) of Notre-Dame; six grandchildren: Sylvie, André, Catrine, Geneviève, Stéphanie, Max; five great grandchildren: Maya, Jade, Roxanne, Sébastien, and Eve; and by many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her 1st husband Edouard Drisdelle, her 2nd husband William Douglas Hannah, two sisters: Eléonore, and Jeannine, and by four brothers: Jean-Paul, Arthur, Alonzo and Ray Poirier. Visitation at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. only. Funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2008 at St. Joseph R.C. Church, Shediac. No visitation prior to funeral.
