Matthew S. Wesselby

Matthew S. Wesselby 1980 - 2008 Matthew Stephen Wesselby, formerly of Moncton, passed away unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, July 28th, 2008. Born in Vancouver, April 29th, 1980, he is the beloved son of Stephen and Karen (Kinden) Wesselby. Matthew was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and sports, particularly basketball. Matthew will be especially remembered for his beautiful smile, great sense of humour and love for his family. He is survived by his parents, Stephen and Karen; his only brother, Anthony; paternal grand parents, Fred "Papa" & Gill Wesselby; and maternal grandparents, Harold "Bampie" and Angela "Grammie" Kinden, all of Moncton; several aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as Matthew's beloved "Marnie" and George Mills of Moncton. He was predeceased by his grand mother, Laelia Wesselby; and his cousin, Kristopher Kinden. Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home with visitation on Thursday, July 31 from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will take place in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Friday, August 1, 2008, at 2:00 pm, Father Allison Carroll officiating. A reception for Matthews family and friends will follow the service in the Garden View Reception Room. Interment in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations in memory of Matthew, may be made directly to the Portage Drug Rehab, PO Box 339 Norton, NB, E5T 1J7 or the Lonewater Farm Drug Rehab, PO Box 3241, Grand Bay-Westfield, NB, E5K 4V5. Stephen and Karen would like to thank all of their friends and family for their love and support of Matthew over the years and especially at this most difficult time. A heart felt thanks to the Emergency Room and ICU, doctors, nurses and staff of the Saint John Regional Hospital for their efforts and compassionate care.
