Lois Jane Shillington 1934 - 2008 The death of Lois Jane Shillington, widow of Thomas, occurred on Friday, August 1, 2008 at her residence following a brief illness. Born in Fords Mills, June 10, 1934, she was the daughter of Jessie (Symes) Power and the late Fred Power. Lois had retired from the Department of National Defence after many years of service. She loved her cats and to read books but her greatest joy was her grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Tom of Moncton and Fred of Colpitts Settlement; her mother, Jessie of Ontario, her sisters, Connie Power of Ontario, Kay (Doug) Sheldrick of Quispamsis, her brothers, Jimmy Power and Joe Power both of Ontario, four grandchildren, one great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Tom, who predeceased her in March of this year, she was predeceased by her father, Fred Power and her sister, Libby Palmer. Resting at Cadman Bowness Funeral Home (857-1110) 114 Alma Street Moncton visiting hours will be on Tuesday, August 5th from 7 to 9 pm. Her funeral service will be held at Cadman Bowness Funeral Home on Wednesday August 6th at 2pm. Interment will be in Fernhill Cemetery, Saint John.
