Alban Joseph LeBlanc
Alban Joseph LeBlanc 1928 - 2008 Alban J. LeBlanc, 86 of St. Edouard de Kent passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on September 10, 2008. Born in Bouctouche Baie, he was the son of the late Emmanuel and Marie LeBlanc (nee LeBlanc). Alban will be sadly missed by his wife Claudia (Eagle) of 62 years, who remained faithfully by his side during his long battle with Alzheimer's. Alban leaves to grieve, five sons; Claude, Gerry, Daniel of Grand Barachois, David (Diane) of Moncton and Bert (Liz) of Hamilton ON as well as one daughter, Marie Anne LeBlanc of St. Anne de Kent. He is also survived by his brothers, Ferdinand (Anne) of Moncton, Sam (Cecile) of Moncton, two sisters, Rita of Moncton and Winnifred of Saint John, three grandchildren, Mike, Suzanne and Kristopher as well as three great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, sister and brother-in-law. Besides his parents. Alban was predeceased by four brothers; Fred, Mel, Edgar and Hector and three sisters, Sadie, Elizabeth and Bernadette. Alban was a proud Veteran of WWII. He was an Honorary Member fob The Knights of Columbus Branch 1310 and the Legion in Moncton. During his illness he enjoyed playing his harmonica and listening to his favorite tunes. Its a wonderful world and Yackity Yack. To his trusted guard cat Rusty who offered unconditional love and monitored our care giving, we say thank you. At his request there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Ste. Anne de Kent Roman Catholic Church on Monday, September 15, 2008 at 7:00 PM. A Legion service will be held at the church following the mass. Reception in the church hall. Interment in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens will be held at a later date.
