Florida Dallaire
Florida Dallaire 1918 - 2008 Florida Dallaire, 90, of Dieppe, NB, passed away on Thursday, September 25th, 2008 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital. Born in Ste.-Marie, NB, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Jeanne (née: Cormier) Leger. Mrs. Dallaire was the last surviving "charter member (1949)" and Past President, amongst other office's of Our Lady of Loretto C.W.L. She also was Vice-President of the Moncton Diocesan C.W.L.; Past President of the Lakeburn Home & School Association; former director of the Dieppe Boys and Girls Club; a member of the Dieppe Golden Age Club, CN Pensionner's and the Canadian Diabetes Association. Playing bingo, cards "200" and shopping at Champlain Place were her favorite past times. She is survived by three daughters: Yvonne Gagnon of La Prairie, QC, Cecile Keirstead (Greg Smith)of Upper Coverdale and Louise (Hinson) Ashe of Moncton two sons: Roger (May) of Dieppe and Leo of Lutes Mtn.; one brother, Laurie (Viola) Legere of Markham, ON; six grandchildren: Joanne, Rachelle, Maurice, Jacqueline, David and Lisa; two great grandchildren: Miles and Monica as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Eric in 1984; three brothers: Gerard, Alfred and Emery and also by one grandson, Eric in 1985. Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Friday, September 26th, 2008 from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm and on Saturday from 10 am until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated from the Ste-Thérère Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB on Saturday, September 27th, 2008 at 11 am. Interment in Notre-Dame du Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB. Donations to the "Oncology unit" of the Friends of the Moncton Hospital or the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family. www.chartersville.com
