Frances Amelia Tucker

Frances Amelia Tucker 1915 - 2008 Frances Amelia Tucker, 92, of Forest Dale Home, Riverside-Albert went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 28, 2008 . She had her loving family by her side as she was called home. Frances was born on November 10, 1915, The daughter of the late Lawrence and Hattie Douthwright. In her earlier years Frances worked as a cook in the lumber camps. This is where she learned how to cook and she was good at it. Later on she worked at the Albert County Hospital for many years. She was a member of the Lower Cape Baptist Church and the Women's Missionary Society. Frances was a very sweet lady who loved her family very much. She loved to laugh and had a great sense of humour. She will always be remembered for her great smile and for her kindness. She was always thinking of others , she knitted countless mittens for the Christmas Daddies and her family and friends never had to worry about going without socks. After her retirement she spent allot of her time volunteering at the Forest Dale Home. She was a true inspiration to all who knew her and she will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever. She will be deeply missed by her two daughters, Edna Edgett (Avery) of Hillsborough and Louise Butland (Russell) of Alma; her four grandchildren, Brian Edgett, Cheryl Simpson (Royden), Karen Steeves (Rod) and Brad Butland (Kate Cooper); her great grandchildren, Stephen, Jason, Brittney and Chelsea and great grandson, Colby. She will also be sadly missed by her special niece, Ethel who was there for support whenever needed, and by several other nieces and nephews. Frances was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Lloyd Tucker (2007); two sisters, Alyeen and Edna; three brothers, Arthur, Vincent and Elmo and by her grandson, Bernard. She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at 2:00pm with Pastor Blaine Steeves officiating. Interment will be in the Hopewell Cemetery, Hopewell Hill, N.B. For those who wish donations to the Forest Dale Home or to the Alzheimer's Society would be greatly appreciated.
