Doreen Elizabeth Parker 1943-2008 Doreen Elizabeth Parker, 65, of Stoney Creek passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on September 28, 2008 with her family by her side. Doreen was born in Edgett's Landing on July 26, 1943, the daughter of the late Warren Nelson and Eileen (Smith) Nelson of Forest Dale Home. Doreen worked at T. Eaton & Company before she was married. She was a member of the Stoney Creek Baptist Church and a member of the Stoney Creek Women's Institute. Doreen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was the most important thing in her life. She took great pride in her grandchildren and was there for them whenever they needed anything. Doreen and her husband, Donnie, were always together; if Donnie was not working then Doreen was by his side. She was small in stature but when she spoke her boy's listened. She also had a good sense of humour and loved to laugh. She loved animals and really enjoyed going for drives to watch deer in the fields. She was a special lady who will live on in the hearts of her loved ones forever. They will treasure all the memories. She will be deeply missed by her loving mother, Eileen; her devoted husband of 42 years, Donald; her sons, Gordon of Stoney Creek and Eric of Riverview; by her cherished grandchildren, Jamey, Josh and Alex; brother, Cerdic Nelson (Sandra) of Riverside-Albert. She will also be missed by all of Donnie's family and by several nieces and nephews. Besides her father, she was predeceased by a son, Carl. She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9pm and Wednesday evening from 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at the Albert County funeral Home on Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 2:00pm with Rev. Don MacDougall officiating. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery, Lower Cape. For those who wish donations to the Mountain View Cemetery or to the Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated by the family.
